A freelance photographer for Island Records of Greece origin, Theodoros Bafaloukos who once been mistakenly arrested by the Jamaican authority for being "CIA spy" spent nearly two years term staying in Jamaica together with those involved in the rocksteady/reggae scene before started the shooting of ROCKERS, a phenomenal film about Jamaica, it's poverty-stricken society, narrow-zinc partitioned ghetto neighborhood, the nearly non-existence family structure, spiritual obsession towards Rastafari movement, the sacramental use of cannabis and the importany essense of the film : the heyday of the counter-culture reggae music scene.
The movie revolves on Horsemouth, a drummer living in a ghetto of Kingston plans to make some extra money selling and distributing records, as he buys a motorcycle to carry them to the sound systems around the island but gangsters steal his bike forcing Horsemouth and friends plot to end the gangsters reign of terror and restore justice to the people of Kingston.
ROCKERS which starred several popular reggae artists star in the movie, including Leroy "Horsemouth" Wallace [The Gladiators, Inner Circle, Prince Far I, Sound Dimension, Gregory Isaacs, Burning Spear, The Skatalites], Burning Spear, Gregory Isaacs, Robert "Robbie" Shakespeare [The Aggrovators, Sly and Robbie], Big Youth, Dillinger, Kiddus I and Jacob Miller [Inner Circle]looked in depth of how the reggae music flourished from the streets of Kingston [Idlers’ Rest] to the recording studio [HARRY J. STUDIO] and the operation from the pressing plant directly to the records store for immediate consumption via main character, Horsemouth.
Take note on the absence of the Carribbean breeze-fronting beaches & curvy tall coconut trees that being stereotyped with Jamaica.

This is an almost complete playlist of the movie soundtrack, 13 tracks out of 14 tracks, only missing "Money Worries" by The Maytones. And the "Dread Lion" by Lee Perry & The Upsetters is available in the version whilst "Man In The Street" by Rockers All Star is in the original version.
